Job description:
Business Intelligence Data Architect will play a key role in
the design, development, implementation and support of Enterprise
Business Intelligence data structures to support technical solution
delivery of ongoing and new Enterprise Business Intelligence
initiatives. He or she will be responsible for architecting
the Enterprise Data Warehouse and Subject Area Data Marts that
are fast, accessible, usable and well-designed with the end-users
and business goals in mind. |

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Business Intelligence Data Architect will participate
in the entire life-cycle of product development. His/her responsibilities
range from requirements analysis, data requirements documentation,
data warehouse/data mart design, ETL requirements specification,
Metadata documentation, and data quality support. The Warehouse
Architect should exhibit strong communication skills and be
a team player as well as be in possession of top rank technical
skills. He/she must be a motivated self-starter, capable of
taking initiative as the situation calls.
The Business Intelligence Data Architect must also be able
to demonstrate top rate data and Business intelligence design
skills. Hands-on experience with Informatica and PL/SQL programming
would be a plus. He/she should have strong SQL and Microstrategy
Data Architecture/metadata skills. The Business Intelligence
Data Architect must be eager and able to learn new technologies
quickly.
Additionally, the Business Intelligence Data Architect must
have a passion for understanding the underlying business problem
as well as its technical delivery. The Business Intelligence
Data Architect will be responsible for the rapid assimilation
of business requirements around technology initiatives and
must be able to effectively translate these requirements to
an effective data/database design solution.
He or she must be able to manage multiple projects at the
same time. Day to day responsibilities will include:
• Interacting with business customers to understand
what needs to be delivered.
• Working with a team of ETL developers to design and
implement effective technical solutions.
The Business Intelligence Data Architect must be that rare
technologist who is also able to be fully conversant and comfortable
in the business problem domain. |
